Zarkie was founded in 2012 by Scott and Anna, a couple from the Dandenong Hills and was named after their beloved dog. 

Scott began his career as a carpenter with a love for snow trips and riding. From a young age, he struggled with cold hands and fingers — something that often cut his time short on the snowfields, made early morning starts on the tools difficult, and affected his riding when control and precision mattered most.

When he discovered that heated clothing could regulate body temperature and let you keep doing what you love for longer, the next question was simple: who made the best gear? The answer was Venture Heat. Back in 2003, they pioneered the carbon-fiber fabric heating element — a true game changer that eliminated common issues like broken wires, hot spots, and uneven heat.

Before long, Zarkie became Australia’s exclusive distributor for Venture Heat clothing. From there, the passion only grew. We’ve since developed and refined our own product lines, building on the same proven technology to create even better designs. Now, we’re proud to be bringing our unique heated clothing innovations to the rest of the world — and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s ahead.

Today, Zarkie is celebrating more than 15 years of quality service and advice. Scott and Anna are still here supporting their customers and look forward to what the future of heated clothing will bring.
